is a list of formal application procedures. Click

Application for Membership
Application Procedures
The following are
steps that the Applicant(s) will take to be accepted for membership:
- Application
completely filled out with information requested.
- Application
dropped into Membership Box (located on back porch) or given to
the Office Manager.
- Applicant(s)
will meet with the Membership Committee.
- After meeting
with Membership Committee your application will be presented to
the Board of Directors for approval on the third Thursday of the
month at 6:30 p.m.
- Once the application
has been presented to the Board of Directors and approved, it will
be displayed on the bulletin board (located on the back porch) for
one (1) month and posted in the monthly newsletter Balloon Jib.
- One (1) month
after posting and approval of the request for membership you will
be accepted into membership. At that time you will be given a key
and burgee (club flag). This will take place at the Board of Directors
meeting on the third Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m. Applicant(s)
must be present to accept their membership.
New member(s) will
then have a probationary period for one (1) year under the direction
of their sponsors.
Request for berthing will not be accepted until new member has been
a member in good standing for six (6) months*. Berthing requests must
be accompanied by evidence that boat is seaworthy, moves under its own
power and is in good shape. Evidence of current registration, insurance
and photograph will be required prior to being considered for a berth.
Prior to acceptance a visual inspection will take place. (No derelict
boats accepted).
The vessel owner
must keep berth assigned in good repair. Application for Live Aboard
status will not be considered until the member(s) have completed one
(1) year of active membership*. See Live aboard Rules for specific rules.
There is a maximum of six (6) Live aboards in the harbor.
Procedures for Application
of membership will be adhered to and no special requests will be accepted.
